What happens before we list a used vehicle for sale?
Here at Select Vehicle Sales by CARS of Grimsby, we pride ourselves on the service received by our customers.
Each vehicle we sell meets our quality standards; each customer journey is seamless and stress-free.

Vehicle Purchase
Each vehicle we buy is researched thoroughly in advance, using our vast experience and investigative tools. Tools such as CAP HPi can confirm details such as the number of previous keepers, factory fitted options, import status and if a vehicle has ever been stolen or written off by an insurer. An MOT History Check will show annual mileage, along with any previous advisories and other valuable information.
Importantly, our vast experience in accident repair enables us to identify other damage that may not be documented on other vehicle check reports. Small differences in vehicle finish, signs of previous structural repairs and replacement panels can reveal a vehicle’s past, even when that damage does not appear on an insurance database.
Vehicle Checks
Any vehicle arriving on site is appraised immediately. We conduct checks of all exterior bodywork as well as interior condition. Our skilled team then raise the vehicle on a lift to view underneath and pick up anything that might be amiss. As discussed, our team have vast experience in identifying damage that may have otherwise been unnoticed, ensuring only the highest quality vehicles go on sale to our customers.
Once our checks are complete, we will then book the vehicle in for an MOT unless it already holds a recent MOT with no advisories. Our vehicles are given a complete service, before we undertake a thorough 84-point RAC-approved check. This documented procedure is a great way to ensure that all sale vehicles experience a vast ‘four-eye’ check.
Sale
Only once our checks are complete and we are satisfied with the quality of the vehicle will it be released for sale. Our vehicles are immaculately presented, and our sales manager is on hand to deal with any queries our customers might have about a vehicle on our forecourt.
