CARS of Grimsby’s Ongoing Commitment to Sustainability

August 2025 marked a major milestone for CARS of Grimsby Independent Accident Repair Centre as we officially moved into our new premises following a full refurbishment.

The new building isn’t just about extra space or a fresh look (although we’re very proud of both). It represents a chance to reflect on who we are, what we stand for, and how we can do better – for our customers and the world around us.

The vehicle repair industry isn’t inherently eco-friendly. From energy use to materials and processes, it’s a sector that comes with unavoidable environmental challenges. But at CARS of Grimsby, sustainability is a core part of our ethos. Our “green journey” is about making meaningful changes where we can, even if those changes are incremental. Every improvement matters.

As part of our refurbishment, we’ve taken a significant step forward by installing solar panels on the roof of our new building. This investment allows us to generate a portion of our own renewable energy, reducing our reliance on the grid and lowering our overall carbon footprint.

It’s a practical, long-term commitment, and one that aligns with our belief that responsible business means thinking beyond today and planning for tomorrow.

A big thank you to RSUK Group, who have been efficient and professional throughout the project.

After an accident, the last thing you need is more worry. Between dealing with insurers, arranging repairs, and trying to keep life moving as normal, it can all feel overwhelming. One of the biggest concerns we hear from customers is: “Will I be left without a car if I don’t use my insurer’s approved repairer?”
